Mexico's president says his country will not be paying for a wall along its border with the US.

Donald Trump has signed an executive order to begin its construction and says taxpayers will be reimbursed by their southern neighbour.

Mr Trump told the television network that while US taxpayers would initially fund it, Mexico would ultimately foot the bill, with reimbursement negotiations starting "relatively soon."

"There will be a payment, it will be in a form, perhaps a complicated form," Mr Trump said.

83% of rental properties in Ireland are beyond the reach of rent supplement payments according to a new report.

The research from the Simon Community shows just 17% of all homes available on the rental market are within the Rent Scheme and Housing Assistance Payments limits.

It comes as the number of people in emergency accommodation reaches over 7,000 for the first time on record.

Bus Éireann workers will discuss the future of the company with their unions today.

Staff have refused to enter talks with management while pay cuts are on the agenda.

But bosses have warned major cost cutting is needed to stem multi-million euro losses.

Models from Babestation are visiting Westport today, to apologise to locals who received wrong-number calls meant for their company.

The adult entertainment workers are making the journey to Mayo, after some viewers omitted the international dialling code and mistakenly called Irish homes.

The issue of the unsolicited calls has been brought to the attention of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland as well as Comreg.
