A man has died after a plane crashed in Co Waterford yesterday evening.
The single-seater BD5 aircraft experienced technical difficulties after leaving Waterford airport shortly after 6.30pm.
The victim had been bound for Shannon Airport to attend the Foynes air show, and crashed near Clonea Upper while trying to turn back for Waterford.
It is not clear yet what exactly caused the crash.

The latest political opinion poll shows support for Independents has surged.
The Red C survey for the Sunday Business Post shows Fine Gael losing three points: the party's support now stands at 25%.
Fianna Fáil's down two to 18 - level with Sinn Féin - while Independents now have 25% with Labour at 8%.
The survey was taken between Monday and Wednesday of this week.

Women who had their babies at Sean Ross Abbey will gather to honour their children today.
A commemoration ceremony will be held at the grounds of the former mother and baby home in Roscrea County, Tipperary this afternoon.
Adults who were born at the Abbey will also be present for the service alongside Philomena Lee.

Three people have died in Japan after a small airplane crashed into a residential area of Tokyo.
The plane is reported to have crashed upside down. At least three houses and two cars were set on fire.
Two people on board the plane and a female resident were killed, and at least two other people were injured.
