ESB technicians are trying to restore power to thousands of customers in Dublin.
Up to 20,000 people were affected this morning and 10,000 people are now back on the grid.
A fire at an ESB substation caused the outage this morning.
At least 107 dead after crane collapses on mosque full of worshippers
At least 107 people have died and a further 238 were injured when a crane collapsed in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
It's thought strong winds and heavy rains caused the crash into the Grand Mosque that was filled with worshippers.
The accident comes less than two weeks before millions of Muslims travel to the city for the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

The man's relatives contacted the coastugard when he failed to return home earlier this evening.

Berkeley survivor Niall Murray speaks out for the first time
Niall Murray was one of seven people seriously injured when an apartment balcony in Berkeley, California, collapsed on June 16.
Last night, he spoke for the first time about the tragedy in which six of his friends died.
Niall, 21, will return home next week after undergoing intensive treatment and rehabilitation.
