Nóra Quoirin’s family are preparing to bring her body home from Malaysia.

The 15-year-old was found dead on Tuesday in a forested area near the Malaysian holiday resort she had travelled to with her family.

An autopsy revealed that she died from prolonged hunger and stress around six days after she disappeared.

A number of investigations into the death are ongoing and the family have said they hope to get “answers to our many questions” about what happened in the days before she died.

The Data Protection Commissioner will outline her findings on the Public Services Card to the Oireachtas next month.

A major investigation by the state watchdog found that the card is in breach of data-protection laws.

It warned that there is no legal basis for any state agency - other than the Department of Social Protection - to insist someone has the card.

It also found that the department is holding on to too much personal data for too long – and warned it to delete it.

The commission has given the State 21 days to stop breaching the regulations.

Lawyers for disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein have said they are not satisfied with the results of an autopsy that found he died by suicide.

The 66-year-old was facing trial on sex trafficking charges and multiple counts of sexually abusing underage girls.

He was found dead in his jail cell last week.

A report by New York City's medical examiner has found that he hanged himself.

However, his lawyers said they are dissatisfied with the conclusions and plan to view prison videos themselves.

Hollywood actor Peter Fonda has died at the age of 79, following a battle with lung cancer.

He died at his home in Los Angeles yesterday morning.

He was best known for his role in the 1969 movie Easy Rider, which he co-wrote and produced.

His sister Jane Fonda has paid tribute to him – saying he was "sweet hearted" and "the talker of the family."
