Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a collision with a car in Dublin.
The collision happened shortly after 7:30pm at the junction of Sherrard Street and the North Circular Road.
A man in his 30s, driving a moped was seriously injured and was taken to the Mater Hospital; however he died a short time later.
Investigators are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward. They particularly want to speak to motorists with dash cams who may have witnessed the incident.

A new report has found that young Irish people want to see better education on gender, sexuality and consent in schools.
The survey took the views of almost 4,000 people aged 15 to 24.
It found that the young people of Ireland want to see an increase in gender neutral bathrooms in schools - and the introduction of hate crime legislation.
Launching the report this morning, the Minister for Children, Dr Katherine Zappone said the Government would use the findings to build the world’s first LGBTI+ National Youth Strategy.

After more than four years of construction, Luas passengers will finally be able to get on the Cross City line later today.
The route from Stephen's Green to Broombridge will be operational from 2pm.
Luas bosses are anticipating an extra 10 million passengers per year as a result of the extension.
It will only take 21 minutes to travel from Stephen's Green to Broombridge in Cabra.

A majority of people want to see a change in the Constitution to allow for greater access to abortion.
The latest Irish Times/Ipsos poll shows 62% are in favour of legislating for wider access to a termination.
Meanwhile 26% per cent say they would like no change to the current laws.
The Oireachtas committee considering the issue is due to issue its final report on December 20th, ahead of a planned referendum next summer.

A status Orange weather warning is in place for snow and ice in Connacht and 12 other counties today and tomorrow.
The National Emergency Coordination Group is urging people to take care on the roads and allow extra time for journeys.
The forecaster says "significant" snowfall is expected Saturday night and into Sunday.
Accumulations of between 4 to 8cms could occur widely, with greater totals possible.
