The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has reiterated his opposition to the backstop in the Withdrawal Agreement in a letter to Donald Tusk.
Writing to the European Council President, Mr Johnson has proposed "flexible and creative solutions" to the Irish border when the UK leaves the EU.
However he does not provide specifics on what these could be.
