The cross-party committee has been charged with presenting an interim report in a matter of days and a final report by June.

There has been strong growth in new car sales so far this year, according to the motor industry.
Nearly 83,000 new cars were sold in the first three months of this year. That is up 28% on the first quarter of 2015.
