A custody hearing, which got underway yesterday, to decide whether or not the family of a Limerick man, killed in the US, can raise his children in Ireland, has been adjourned until next week.

39-year old Jason Corbett died on August 2nd last, after sustaining critical head injuries in a domestic incident at his home in North Carolina.

His wife Molly Martens, who is reported to be a suspect along with her father Thomas Martens, is fighting Mr Corbett's sister Tracey Lynch for custody of ten year old Jack Corbett and his eight-year-old sister Sarah.

The children's mother, Mags Fitzpatrick, died following an asthma attack in 2006.

A bailout deal worth around €86bn for Greece has been approved by Eurozone finance ministers.

Following months of negotiations and a referendum, Athens has had to agree to far-reaching economic reforms to secure it.

IMF Chief Christine Lagarde has welcomed the agreement, highlighting efforts to overcome a loss of confidence in the Greek Government.

The money is set to be paid out in a series of loans over the next three years.

The search for a foreign national missing off the Kerry coast will resume later this morning.

The man went into the water at Kerry Head yesterday afternoon. He had been fishing with friends on the cliff-side at the time.

Conditions in the area are described as very poor, and are not expected to improve in the coming days.

Valentia Coastguard, Shannon Rescue 115 and the naval vessel the LÉ Orla as well as a number of other search and rescue teams are all involved in efforts to locate him.

85 people are now known to have died in Wednesday's explosions at a warehouse in north-eastern China.

The blasts in Tianjin - triggered when tonnes of suspected hazardous material suddenly detonated - injured hundreds of others.

Some victims are still being pulled alive from the rubble - a 19-year-old firefighter was found 32 hours after the incident.

A former Minister for Equality - who came out this year - will Grand Marshall the Galway Pride parade later today.

Pat Carey says he was asked on the result day of the Marriage Referendum to take up the honour.

The Pride festival is Ireland's oldest and expects to see thousands take part in the celebrations, in the wake of the Marriage Referendum.
