Tens of thousands of students will today find out how they got on in their Junior Cert.
More than 60,000 people sat the exams in June, with overall numbers up by 1.2% on last year.
Results from 26 different subjects will be available from schools this morning, or from 4pm online.
Provisional figures show an increase in the number of candidates securing A grades in higher-level English, maths and Irish.
Just over three-quarters of higher-level English and maths students received an A, B or C.
Over 80% of Irish students sitting the more challenging paper achieved an honours grade.
Applications to review results must be made through schools and received by the State Examinations Commission no later than 5pm on Friday, September 30th.
The fee is €32.00 per subject, which will be refunded in the event that a grade is upgraded.
The outcomes of appeals are expected to be posted in the week ending November 11th.
This is the last time pupils will get results from the traditional exam, with reforms to English and the junior cycle framework taking place this year.
