Figures released by the Standards in Public Office Commission (SIPO) show that no candidates breached the spending limit of €230,000 in the recent European elections campaign.
In Dublin, Labour's Emer Costello - who failed to win a seat - spent the most on her campaign coming in at a cost of €202,034.
Fianna Fail's Pat "The Cope" Gallagher - who lost his seat in the European parliament - spent the most in the Midlands North-West constituency at €161,428.
While the highest expenditure in Ireland South was €206,461 on Fine Gael's Deirdre Clune, who was elected an MEP.

The figures show that total expenditure disclosed came to €2,882,329, while the total donations disclosed amounted to €22,649.
Five of the unsuccessful candidates who gave donation statements say they had received a donation.
The largest value of donations disclosed was by Senator Rónán Mullen, with €10,500.
A total of €974,121 will be paid by the Exchequer to 26 candidates who qualified for a reimbursement of election expenses.
While 25 candidates qualify for the maximum reimbursement of €38,092.
