Mitch Winehouse says his daughter’s ex-husband “is going to get through this” after he was left fighting for his life following an apparent drink and drugs binge.

Blake Fielder-Civil was found choking in bed last Friday – before being rushed to hospital with multiple organ failure.

Writing on Twitter, Mr Winehouse says: “It looks like Blake is going to get through this. That’s good news.”
