A man jailed for murdering 2 British soldiers at an army base in Co. Antrim has had his conviction quashed by the Belfast Court of Appeal.

47-year-old Brian Shivers from Magherafelt in Co. Derry had challenged his conviction for the murders of sappers Mark Quinsey and Patrick Azimkar.

The soldiers were both aged in their early 20s.
