A woman from Northern Ireland has been found murdered in Australia. The body of Comrie Cullen (39) was discovered in a carpark in a Sydney suburb yesterday.
The mother of three had suffered serious injuries to her upper body, including stab wounds.
A man (50), who is her former husband, was arrested near the scene.
The body was found at Taren Point
A statement from New South Wales Police said he is under police guard at a hospital. He was taken there for treatment of injuries to his wrists and chest.
Superintendent Gregory Antonjuka says it appears she died as a result of a domestic dispute.
Meanwhile the British Foreign Office is providing consular assistance to the family.
Police were called to a car-park in the Taren Point area at about 2.20pm (local time) on Wednesday, after the body was located.
