A man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of an Irish pensioner who was stabbed on his mobility scooter in London.

Lee Byer - of no fixed address - killed 87-year-old Thomas O'Halloran, originally from Ennistymon in County Clare, in August 2022 - just days after being released from prison.

Prosecutors accepted Mr Byer's plea after mental health reports found he was psychotic, hearing voices, and suffering from paranoid schizophrenia.
