Gardaí are investigating a hit and run collision in Dublin city centre on Saturday night.

It happened at Sean McDermott Street at 8.15pm when a man was struck by a small silver car.

The vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

The injured man, aged 24, was taken to the Mater Hospital.

Gardaí say his injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.

Investigations are ongoing.
