A man has died and a teenager hospitalised after a two-vehicle collision in Donegal.

It happened at Tullyrap in Raphoe on the main Letterkenny to Lifford Road just before 1.00pm on Thursday.

A car with two people collided with a lorry, and both the driver and passenger were brought to Letterkenny Hospital.

The driver, a male aged in his early 30s, was pronounced dead in the early hours of this morning.

The female in her late teens remains in Letterkenny Hospital.

The driver of the lorry was uninjured, and the road has since re-opened.
