A 19-year-old who had been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Co Monaghan has been released without charge.
The teenager had been arrested last night after a man in his late 20s was found on the side of a road at Woodview in Killygowan just before midnight on Thursday.
He is being treated for serious head injuries at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.

No one else has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
