A man has died after he was hit by an articulated lorry near Midleton in County Cork.
Gardaí said it happened at around 4:10am this morning on the N25 at Ballyedekin.
The man, aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will take place.
No other injuries have been reported.
The N25 between Ballyedekin and Castlemartyr village is currently closed while Gardaí carry out a technical examination of the scene.
Local diversions are in place.
Investigators are calling for witnesses to contact them. They are particularly interested in talking to anyone who was on the N25 in the Loughaderra area between 3:45am and 4:15am this morning and may have camera footage.
