A man has died following a shooting on the north side of Dublin city.
Another man was seriously injured in the incident.
It happened this afternoon shortly after 3.30pm in the Clongriffin area of the city.
Gardaí have launched an investigation.
One man was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The second man was also taken to the same hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
A burnt out car was discovered a short time later on Hole in the Wall Road.
Both scenes are sealed off pending a forensic technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in either the area of Grange Lodge or Hole in the Wall Road to contact the incident room at Coolock Garda Station on 01-666-4200.
