A man has died after he was stabbed in Dublin this evening.
A 56 year old man received serious stab wounds following an incident at a flat at Ballybough House in Dublin 1 at approximately 5.10 this evening.
He was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at approximately 8.45pm.

The scene has been preserved for a Garda technical examination and the services of the State Pathologist and the Garda Technical Bureau have also been requested.
Two men -aged 53 and 46- have been arrested and are currently been detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
