A man in his 20s has been charged in connection an incident of assault and robbery in Co Cork.
The incident occurred on December 1 on Castle Road in Bandon at around 3am.
A woman was walking down the road when she was approached by a man who then stole her handbag, knocked her to the ground and assaulted her.

Three men who were in the area came to her assistance and she did not require medical assistance at the time.
The man in his 20s was arrested this morning in connection with the incident and was detained at Bandon Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
He has since been charged and is due to appear before Bandon District Court tomorrow morning.
