Gardaí have arrested and charged a man after an assault and endangerment incident in Skerries, Co Dublin.
It happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Shortly before 5.00am, officers responded to report of a public order incident.

When they arrived they saw a man in front of a house with a hatchet and two knives.
The man proceeded to threaten Gardaí with the weapons.
He also smashed a window of the patrol car - however no injuries were reported.
Additional Garda units arrived at the scene and apprehended the man.
He was arrested and taken to Balbriggan Garda station.
The man, aged in his 30s, has since been charged and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice later.
