A man has been arrested in the north of England as part of an investigation into an arms and explosives find in west Belfast on Thursday.

More than half a kilo of Semtex, two handguns, over 200 rounds of ammunition and two detonators were seized in Ballymurphy on Thursday night.

A 38-year-old woman and 67-year-old man who were arrested at the scene were released last night.

A 45-year-old man has today been detained in Sunderland.
