A 42 year old man who was arrested, after a large oil laundering plant was uncovered in Co Monaghan overnight has been released without charge.

Revenue officials and Gardai - acting on intelligence - made the discovery which had the capacity to launder around 20 million litres of fuel per annum.

A quantity of toxic waste was also found.

A 42 year old man who was arrested, has since been released without charge. A file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
