A man has been arrested in Dublin after a robbery at a shop that had two armed gardaí inside.
The incident happened at a shop on Coultry Road in Ballymun at around 7.10pm last night.
A man is said to have threatened staff with a suspected firearm, and took cash from a till.
Two armed detectives who were in the shop at the time confronted the man, who then fled the scene.
Gardaí searched the area, and a 29-year-old man was arrested a short distance away.
Cash was also recovered during the search.
The arrested man is being detained at Ballymun Garda Station.
Gardaí say no shots were fired during the robbery, and nobody was injured.
