A Palestinian has been involved in an acid attack on Israelis, according to AFP news agency.

A man and three children were injured in the attack.

It happened at a checkpoint outside Bethlehem near the Gush Etzion settlement, Israeli public radio reports.

The suspect has since been shot and wounded, the army said.

Palestinian security sources told AFP that the assailant was arrested after he was shot.
