A man in his 50s has died following a single-vehicle crash in Co Meath.

The incident occurred on the R155 at Ratoath shortly before 12pm today.

The man, who was driving a truck, was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he was pronounced dead.

There were no other passengers in the vehicle.

The road remains closed for a technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly any road users who may have camera footage, to contact Ashbourne Garda Station on 018 010 600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
