A man has died and three others have been injured in a crash in Co Tipperary.

It happened on the Portroe to Garykennedy Road, outside Nenagh, at around 5:30am this morning.

One man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three others in the car - two men aged in their 20s and one man in his late teens - were taken to University Hospital Limerick.

Their injuries are not life threatening.

A Garda forensic team has examined the scene and the road has now re-opened.
