Lucinda Creighton's confirmed tonight she'll resign as the European Affairs Minister, adding she's wished the Taoiseach luck. 

Her decision follows her vote against the abortion legislation which sees her expelled from the Fine Gael parliamentary party.

She says she's sad but relieved at her decision, saying promises matter.
