A man has died following a road traffic collision in Co Louth.
The 32-year-old man was the sole occupant of a vehicle which left the road and struck a ditch at around 1.00am this morning.
It happened close to Brannigan's Cross on the Collon to Tinure Road in Collon.
He suffered serious injuries and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda where he was pronounced dead.
The scene has been preserved and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will carry out an investigation of the area.
Diversions are also in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnessess or anyone who was travelling the Collon-Tinure Road between 12.30am and 1.00am this morning are asked to contact them at Ardee on 041-6871130, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666-111 or any garda station.
