An international software service company has announced plans to create 200 jobs in Dublin in the coming years.

Cloud-based connectivity provider LogMeIn officially opened its new international headquarters at Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock.

The company said it is one of the world’s 10 largest public Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) companies – with millions of customers around the world.

The company has been based in the capital since 2012 – however, it said its new 40,000 sq ft facility will allow it to establish a “management decision making centre” in Europe.

It said it plans to recruit for 200 new high level positions based in the headquarters over the next three to five years.

The company is looking to recruit “customer success managers” as well as for roles in sales, marketing, legal, HR and IT.

LogMeIn CEO Bill Wagner said the investment in staff and infrastructure will help the company, “retain its focus on competitiveness and develop new products.”

“Our new office is central to LogMeIn leading the innovation race, while building our international hub to serve our customers worldwide and attract the highest level of talent available,” he said.

IDA Ireland CEO Martin Shanahan said: “Ireland has a well-deserved reputation as an international location for key global players in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) in recent years due the talented tech and multilingual workforce based here.”

He said the LogMeIn investment is a “clear demonstration of the confidence” the company has in Dublin.
