Jolanta and Enrika Lubiene have been laid to rest in Lithuania after a funeral mass this morning. The 27-year-old mother and her 8-year-old daughter were murdered in Killorglin, Co. Kerry 3 weeks ago.
A 26-year-old Lithuanian man has been charged with the double murder.
Aurimas Andruska - with an address at 7 Ardmoniel Heights in Killorglin - has been charged with both murders, after a charge of the manslaughter of her Enrika was withdrawn and upgraded to murder at Killarney District Court.
He was the second suspect to be questioned over the killings. The first, a man in his 40s, was questioned and also released without charge (pending a file for the DPP). He was being held on suspicion of withholding information.
Jolanta and Enrika were buried after funeral mass at a church near the village where Ms. Lubiene grew up.
