Its been just shy of six years since Richard Ashcroft released his last album, United Nations of Sound, but he is finally making his return.
The former front-man for The Verve is set to release his fifth solo album, These People, on May 20th of this year.
Before then, he's just dropped his first music video is over half a decade, for the album's first single, "This Is How It Feels".
The album will see Ashcroft reuniting with longtime collaborator and producer Chris Potter, as he claims that the album will tackle topics such as the war in Syria, the Arab Spring uprisings and the death of a close friend because, "to do nothing would be a crime in this sick nihilistic age of war".
Ashcroft has announced a number of gigs in the UK in the lead up to the album's release, so watch this space for potential Irish announcements, too.
