With the summer now seemingly in full swing it's time to dust off the sunny classics, including the glorious paddling pool. In previous summers they've become a rare commodity so getting in early is a must.
We've done some of the legwork for you and identified five of the best based around price, practicality and in one case innovation.
Chad Valley 12ft Round Frame Pool
At €243.99 the Chad Valley 12ft is one of the most expensive on the list but boy is it sturdy. Measuring 4 metres across the pool comes with a filter pump to make sure the water stays clean. As you can expect it also comes with a cover to keep the leaves out.
You can buy it from Argos here.
The Intex pool is considerably cheaper than the Chad Valley one. At €53.99 it seems an absolute steal in comparison. It comes with a drain and three ply lining. It also happens to hold over 1,000 gallons of water.

Summer Escapes 8ft Easy Up Pool
Cheaper and again from Smyth's the Summer Escapes 8ft is slightly smaller than the previous two but is very easy to set up and as the company themselves claim you can be the 'envy of the neighborhood' with it.
You can but it from Smyth's here.
One of the better bargains from the list Bestway's pool is available from Littlewoods Ireland with a significantly reduced price. The pool is on sale now for €52 which is for less than half price with the RRP coming in at €105.

What is undoubtedly a sign of innovation in the paddling pool industry, the Spa Vegas Pool adds a serious amount of new features that you wouldn't get with your traditional pool.
Think more portable hot tub than inflatable pool and the fact that it costs €431 from Littlewoods.
