The Tánaiste has told Labour members she is preparing the party for a second general election.
Joan Burton says the party's general secretary has been contacting candidates to make preparations - and says Labour is ready if a second election occurs.
In an email to Labour members this evening, Deputy Burton also said other parties 'got the mandate to govern' - indicating she does not plan to return to power.

She said she would meanwhlie focus on building a 'progressive alliance' in the Dail, alongside the Greens and the Social Democrats.
