A senior Labour Party minister says the findings of a new opinion poll are concerning.

Labour support has fallen to just 6% - the lowest level in over 25 years.

Fine Gael tops the Ipsos/MRBI poll in today's Irish Times on 26% - Sinn Féin is in second on 23% - with Fianna Fáil on 22%.

Speaking on his arrival at Government Buildings, Public Expenditure and Reform Minister Brendan Howlin says the Irish Times poll is concerning, but says it's a result of what he says is his party's policy of putting the country's interest first:
