Dingle in Co. Kerry is preparing to celebrate a milestone for one of its most-famous residents.
Fungi the Dolphin is marking his 30th anniversary as a resident of Dingle Bay.
Local station Radio Kerry will broadcast live from the West Kerry town with a host of stories and memories of the Dingle Dolphin to mark what is being billed as 'Fungi Day'.
It will examine the Gulf Stream which delivered Fungi to Dingle 30 years ago, look at why he chose to make it his home and what the future may hold.
Fungi also has his own Twitter account. His first tweet was "Move over Flipper, its Fungi Time #fungithedolphin".
Several people also are marking the occasion on Twitter.
