The fire service in Co. Kerry is urging land owners to co-operate after a wild fire burning at a national park there was finally extinguished last night.
The blaze in the Killarney National Park, which had been burning for days, was brought under control, after rain fell in the area.
The Kerry Fire and Rescue Service issued an appeal to land owners to contact them in advance of lighting fires in the open.
