Donald Trump's adviser Kellyanne Conway said earlier today that the president won't be releasing his tax returns.
In a bizarre interview on ABC's "Meet the Press" this morning, Conway said that Trump has no intention of releasing that sort of information.
She said that "The White House response is that he’s not going to release his tax returns."
Before adding "We litigated this all through the election. People didn’t care. They voted for him, and let me make this very clear: most Americans are — are very focused on what their tax returns will look like while President Trump is in office, not what his look like."
She also discussed White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer's recent address where he declared that Trump's inauguration "was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period, both in person and around the globe."
Before adding that "These attempts to lessen the enthusiasm of the inauguration are shameful and wrong."
When asked about those remarks from the Press Secretary, Conway said "You're saying it's a falsehood and Sean Spicer, our press secretary, gave alternative facts to that.
"I don't think you can prove those numbers one way or another. There's no way to quantify crowd numbers."
Conway concluded by saying "If we're going to keep referring to the press secretary in those types of terms I think we're going to have to rethink our relationship here."
"Alternative facts are not facts. They are falsehoods," Chuck Todd tells Pres. Trump's counselor Kellyanne Conway this morning. WATCH: pic.twitter.com/Ao005dQ13r
