Junior doctors will hold a one day national strike on September 25th.
In addition to the one day strike, the IMO says that each week from Monday the 30th of September, a strike will be called in at least one hospital in each region in the country.
This comes after junior doctors last night voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action.
Working 100 hours
The dispute is over working hours - with some junior doctors working up to 100 hours per-week which is more than twice the EU legal limit of 48.
The Irish Medical Organisation reiterates this, stating that the HSE is in breach of an EU working hours directive.
