The Irish Medical Organisation says strike action by junior doctors is now 'inevitable'.
It follows meeting with the HSE on working hours this afternoon - which failed to produce any agreement.
The IMO says doctors are being forced to work unsafe hours of up to 100 hours per week - far in excess of the 48 hour legal limit.

The IMO's Assistant Director of Industrial Relations, Eric Young, says the Health Service hasn't budged on the issue - and strike action is now a strong possibility.
