Islamists in Egypt have vowed further protests - calling for the army to release Mohammed Morsi and return him to power.
Thirty people were killed in clashes between pro and anti Morsi demonstrators - with the worst of the violence in the capital Cairo.
The violence came after three pro-Morsi demonstrators were killed by security forces close to a barracks where it was believed the Muslim Brotherhood leader was being held.
Running street battles continued overnight - leaving over 1-thousand injured.
