Talks between Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil ground to a halt last night over Irish Water.
Fine Gael says it's still awaiting an answer to its latest proposal - which would see water charges temporarily suspended.
The possibility of setting up a commission to examine the future of the utility is being considered.
