An elderly Irish man (73) has died in a car crash in Mallorca.

He was killed car was involved in a head on collision with a jeep.

It happened in Cas Concos at around 9:50am yesterday morning.

Reports say attempts by ambulance personnel to revive the man were unsuccessful.

The driver of the jeep was uninjured.

This is said to be the third fatal crash on the Spanish island since the weekend.

A British man (53) died on Sunday after his car collided with a wall.
