The Taoiseach says Ireland still has "hills to climb" before the economy fully recovers. Enda Kenny was speaking in an interview with CNBC Europe from the World Economic Forum in Davos this morning.

He says Ireland will not become complacent, and that fixing public finances and restructuring the banking sector are still major challenges.

But Taoiseach Enda Kenny says he is confident Ireland can overcome them.

Singer Bono is part of the same trade delegation from Ireland that will meet with top international business people. The U2 front man will join the Taoiseach and Finance Minister at a dinner this evening with more than 25 executives.

According to the IDA which has organised the trip, companies attending fall into Irish target sectors of pharmaceuticals, technology and financial services.

Newstalk's Business Editor Ian Guider says Bono has been brought in to sell Ireland to foreign investors.
