Police in Antrim are appealing for information after a masked man fired a crossbow at a van in Carrickfergus.

The incident happened at around 5.15pm yesterday evening.

The masked male discharged a bolt towards a black Renault Traffic van in the forecourt of a petrol station.

Minor damage was caused to the van.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Detectives investigating the attack are appealing for witnesses or anybody with information to contact them.
