Police in the North are investigating after a report that two shots were fired at a house in Co Derry.

The PSNI received a report just after 12.20am on Friday morning.

Five people - a man, a woman and three children - were in the house in the Rossnagalliagh area at the time.

While none of them were injured, police say they were left shocked by what happened.

Detective Inspector Stephanie Finlay says: "Damage was caused to a vehicle parked outside the property and the living room window was smashed during the incident."

Enquiries are continuing and police are asking anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident to contact detectives.
