Ian Bailey is calling on the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to examine the evidence gathered by French prosecutors in their case against him.

It follows reports that he is to face criminal proceedings in France in connection with the death of Sophie Toscan du Plantier in west Cork 20 years ago.

Mr Bailey was twice arrested by gardaí and questioned about the murder, but has always denied involvement.
