The vehicle's driver failed to remain at scene and continued in the direction of Islandbridge.

The injured cyclist was taken to the Mater Hospital, and his injuries are described as serious but non life threatening.

Gardaí are now looking to speak to people who were on Conyngham Road on the 5th May 2019 between 1:50am and 2:20am.

They're also appealing for anyone who has noticed a black vehicle with new damage to the passenger side in the last few days.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area during the time period in question can contact Kilmainham Garda Station on 01-666-9700 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111.
