It’s looking set to be dry and (hopefully) mud free for Electric Picnic this weekend, with a forecast of highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees today and up to 17 degrees tomorrow. There might be the odd light shower today, but overall it looks set to be clear with a moderate breeze.
It might be a little chilly when you’re bedding down, with tonight’s temperatures dropping to about nine degrees.
Tomorrow should be a little sunnier, with the occasional cloudy spell.
Traffic will likely be heavy, and the AA have offered the following advice for anyone driving to Stradbally:
"Electric Picnic takes place at Stradbally until Sunday (6th). On the M7, both northbound and southbound traffic can exit at J16 Portlaoise East towards Broomfield R/A and onto the Stradbally Rd before following signage. Northbound Exit at Junction 17 and follow signage. From the M8 northbound motorists can exit at J3 Rathdowney (Abbeyleix) and follow signage through Ballacolla, Abbeyleix, Ballyroan and onto the site.
"On the N80 via Carlow, travel straight to Stradbally. Motorists can also travel to the event via the Stradbally/ Athy Rd (R428). All routes leading to designated parking areas for the event are clearly sign posted and patrons are urged to follow these routes to avoid unnecessary delay and traffic disruption. Gardaí will be on point duty."
